My Profile
What is My Profile?
My Profile is where you can include information you want to share
with people you meet using your Txtms generated User ID. All fields are optional.
What is Mobile characters left to share?
Most mobile phones allow a limit of up to 160 characters to be displayed through text messaging.
This counter displays the number of characters left to share in your text message. Once the characters have reached their limits, you may share
additional information through your email or Txtms.com.
What is Expand?
This option allows you share additional information that is not
displayed in the general fields (i.e. additional address / phone number).
What is "Mobile characters left to share" mean?
Every mobile phone allows a limit of 160 characters to be displayed

Which picture formats are supported?
You may upload JPEG, GIF, BMP, or PNG files.
My settings
What is My Settings?
My Settings is where you can choose how to receive and exchange profiles. You may also change your password, disable your account, change your email address and verify or switch your mobile phone number.
What is reply to requests?
This option allows you to choose how you would like to respond to profile exchange requests.
By default, your profile will be sent by automatic approval. You may choose to manually approve profile exchange requests by selecting manual approval.
What are the options for Manual approval?
You may approve profile exchange requests by Mobile Phone and/or by logging onto Txtms.com.
What are the options for Automatic approval?
This setting will automatically approve or exchange profile requests (default setting).
What is receive profile requests?
This option allows you to choose where you would like to receive information
you have requested. You may choose to receive it by mobile phone, email, and/or Txtms.com. The default settings to receive profiles
are by mobile phone and Txtms.com.
What is change my password?
This is a security feature that allows you to change your login password.
The password is case sensitive and requires a minimum of 6 characters.
What is Disable my account?
This option allows you terminate your Txtms account. You may re-activate
your account by logging in with your User ID and Password, and then reconfirming your account.
How do I change my password?
Located in My Settings, enter your current password, then choose a
new password and confirm, finally click Change Password.
How do I verify my email address?
Once you register, you will automatically receive an email with a link
attached to verify. You may also updated your registered email address and log into your email account to verify the new
email by clicking on the verification link.
Requests
What are Requests?
In this section you will be able to view the most recent inquiries for your
profile information.
What does it mean to accept?
This option allows you to send your profile to the requestor; you will
not receive the requestor's profile.
What does it mean to exchange?
This option allows you to send your profile to the requestor; you will
receive the requestor’s profile in return and it will be stored in My Contacts.
What does it mean to reject?
This option allows you to deny sending or exchanging profiles with a requestor;
this is not a permanent block.
What is not a registered user?
This is when the person requesting your information does not have a Txtms account.
You may only see the phone number or email address of the requestor. Therefore, you may only accept or reject this request; you will not be
able to receive the requestor’s profile.
What are request categories?
- All Requests: Displays complete list of requests (stored for 30 days).
- Pending: Displays complete list of requests for your profile that still need your approval.
- Accepted: Displays complete list of requests that you have already accepted.
- Exchanged: Displays complete list of requests that you have exchanged.
- Rejected: Displays complete list of requests that you have rejected
What does a - z and z - a mean?
- a - z: Alphabetize from a - z; based on user name.
- z - a: Alphabetize from z - a; based on user name.
My Contacts
What is My Contacts?
This section contains all the profiles you have received and/or exchanged.
What are contact categories?
This section allows you to organize your contacts by assigning them to one or
more custom categories.
How do I create categories?
When you are viewing a profile, type a new category or choose from the list. Use commas to separate multiple categories. Example: Friends, Family, Business.
What does a - z and z - a mean?
- a - z: Alphabetize from a - z; based on user name.
- z - a: Alphabetize from z - a; based on user name.
